More Filters

This one was mega work. I had the wrong ISO setting for the lighting outside and it really shows in the original. So I downloaded the G'MIC console for Gimp (you can get it here) and ran the Anisotropic Smoothing filter on E's face and hand. I used layers and paintbrush to "burn" his face and hand, too. I used Gaussian blur to blur the background a bit. It's still not perfect, but it will never be because the original is not great to begin with.

Perfect is clearly in the eye of the beholder! I find this to be some fantastic editing of a really nice picture!

Great work,

The edited photo is great! His features clearly stand out much better in the second image. Well done!

You did a great job editing this photo..you should feel proud of your work. I agree the first photo is a litle rough, but you totally saved it. The warm tone really adds to the image. And what a cutie :)

Your work is absolutely amazing. The warmth you have added makes his smile take on new meaning. Nice placement of subject even before the crop. Really even better after, for you took out the distraction of the branch, which leads the eye off the page.
